This grave marker which is at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, located at 179 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that John F. Chromoho served in the United States Army during World War II and died at the
age of only 48.

John F. Chromoho name was not on the Original Wall Unit List, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.

The letters “BSM” on the grave marker stand for “Bronze Star Medal”, of which John F. Chromoho received
during his service.

Let us never forget the soldiers sacrifice.
